This interior renovation turned two 2-bedroom apartments into a floor-through home in a Back Bay building. The design intent was to blend historic features with contemporary elements; the original high ceilings and fireplaces were restored and crown and base moldings were added to tie the space back to the original building. For a modern feel, we added glass sliding doors, honed stone for the fireplaces, and sleek walnut built-ins for maximum storage. The living room of this project won a Silver Prism Award in 2013.
